Rev. Jeong C. Kim & Mrs.             September Sharing day                   Isabell’’s 11th birthday

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

How are you during these disastrous times?

I hope and pray that there have been no difficulties due to the virus. I pray with all my heart that the Lord’s encouragement and peace is always with you. Thankful for God’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our greetings to you and yours.

Last month Vanessa’s adorable daughter, Isabelle turned 11 years old. We were able to have a great time with her loved ones. The daughter of a single mother that father was constantly in and out of jail, Isabelle is now full of happiness as daughter of God.

I would like to thank Pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church Jeong-Chan Kim and his wife for their continual support and prayers, material donations, visits, and lovely encouragements.

Every month we dedicate our time and resources to help out our R.F.I families who live in motels and other neighbors in need. Last month, our freezer broke down and the food was spoiled. Thankfully, Elder Hoon sang Kim helped us out with K-swiss products and daily necessities and Elders Jong do Park from Calvary Presbyterian Church we were able to provide with school supplies, toys, and Shoes.

Children were so grateful and happy.

We started the service with a sermon prepared by Pastor David Lee, the senior pastor of Grace Bible Church. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the delicious meal that they had prepared for us. There was a miracle where some people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I am glad that many found their comfort in the Lord during these hard times.

I am so thankful to our supporters who provide through their churches. Because of your help, we are able to provide and help others even in difficult times. We thank our Lord who proclaims victory and shows the world that His kingdom is always abundant with love and blessings. Once again we praise the Lord and thank our supporters with tears for your everlasting love and support.

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called

According to his purpose.”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Dear Friends Hallelujah!!

I wish peace and health to all our supporters who are under the grace of the Lord, who transcends all difficult circumstances. Healing from the Lord’s grace and from the Word of God, Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings in the name of the Lord.

Starting from August Centralia Elementary School, Orange view Middle School, Western High School, and Cypress College have started their fall semesters. At our home, both the mothers and children are studying hard from 9 am to 2 pm. Being able to see their enthusiasm and provide them with the hope of new life makes me swell up tears in thanksgiving to the Lord and our supporters.

I thank the Lord our father, who uses Rainbow family ministry to be a home for them. Once again I give my praise to Jesus Christ and dedicate my life to serve him.

I want to do something for our family who stuck at home for so long so we went on a trip for 2 nights and 3 days. We rode a boat alongside the river. We offered endless praise to the Lord for our wonderful experience. I also believe that through this experience our friendship has gotten stronger.

Last month, Members from the mountaineering club came to visited us with offering. Thank you!!

As we were selected as a target community by the Korean Gospel Broadcasting Station of USA, we received generous contribution. We sincerely thank the president and the staff of the Korean Gospel Broadcasting Station of USA.

Rainbow Family has been my family for the last 18 years. Through the grace of God I received the heart of the Lord and I feel happy when my family feels happy and feel pain when they are in pain. I want to protect them with the Gospel and keep these doors open for the lost and the least until the Lord comes.

RFI continuously giveaway food and living supply to the RFI school children and other under privilege families who lives in the Motel.

Please help us. Thank you very much.

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, the Lord’s grace and blessings will always be by your side.

Ester and Aiden                   2020 Walk-a-thon                   Sharing day

Dear Friends Hallelujah!!

Rainbow family wishes you good health and peace in the grace of the Lord who transcends all earthly Circumstances. Under the umbrella of His grace and gift of scripture, our Rainbow Family that is going through a healing process in which we are abundant in freedom and in Thanksgiving would like to offer our greetings to you and yours.

Esther and her son Aiden, who have lived with us for at least a year back in 2018, have joined us again due to their unfortunate circumstances. Knowing that Esther and her son are safe and healthy, I am sure that the loving Lord has answered our prayers and for that I give him thanks. I ask for prayers and support so that Esther’s family can be rooted within the Word and find healing and triumph through the Lord’s grace and abounding love.

On July 18th of this year, we held our Walk-A-Thon. Although we were joined by the RFI summer school students every year, we walked 50 blocks with just our Rainbow Family members due to the current situation. Afterwards, we shared lunch and enjoyed the time spent together. Special thanks to our Walk-A-Thon sponsors.

Since May, every last Saturday of the month, we have been donating food and daily living supplies to certainly our RFI summer school families, but also our neighbors in need.

As I have been praying for the food and daily supplies, there is something that I realized. Even if our situation is unfavorable, when we share our hardships and abundances, we find ourselves getting closer with one another and growing in our faith.

I genuinely thank everyone for your support and prayers.

I have faith in the Lord who has permitted the best conditions and has allowed for a new life for those who have been marginalized in our society. I return all the glory to the God of love. I believe that due to your prayers and support, we are able to fulfill the will of the Lord on earth as it is in heaven.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with

thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, the Lord’s grace and blessings will always be by your side.

Janet, who has joined our family 6 months ago, gave birth to a beautiful and healthy son, Liam. Once again, we have experienced the faithfulness of the Lord and we offer Him all the praise and the glory. Janet, was raised under foster parents her whole life, joined us with her 4 year old daughter while she was pregnant. The father of her daughter has been in and out of prison and has caused great heartache to Janet and her daughter. As for Liam’s father, he changed his contact information as soon as he received the news that Janet was pregnant. She, who lived through so much pain, testifies that she accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and has now found a new identity as a daughter of God. We ask for your prayers and support so that she will be able reign victorious with the Lord’s abundant love.

Thankfully, of the mothers in our ministry, Vanessa and Bella while living in the Home they have passed the GED test and now attending Cypress College. After the completion of their next semesters, they hope to go to 4 years of University and get a degree to be a successful members of the society.

As we all know because of our current situation, Rainbow Family can’t open up summer school for the students. But we can help our neighbors in need by providing them food. Last month Elder Park of Calvary Presbyterian Church, who always warms up our missionary, was generous as he provided our children with sneakers. How happy would the Lord have been to see the smile on the mothers and children as they received food supplies and sneakers? In addition, many of our Anonymous friends left rice, toilet paper, Masks, and food at our doorsteps. These wonderful friends are surely angels from the Lord. I bow my head deeply in thanksgiving to all our supporters.

In order to overcome our financial difficulty, we are planning to host 2020 Walk-a-Thon on July 18th. We will be meeting at our Home at 9:30 AM and will be walking 50 blocks in Buena Park area After the walk, we will all join together and share a meal. If you have the time, please join us for the walk. If you don’t have the time, please join us through prayer and support. Thank you.!!

Isaiah 61:3

And provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness,

a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Evelyn Family                         I.M.C.F. Visited                                Serenity Birthday

I would love to introduce a family that has sent to us last month: 24 year old single mother, Evelyn; her 2 year old daughter, Elaina; and her 5 month son, Emmanuel. Evelyn does not know of her father and shared that her mother wandered around her whole life due to her drug addictions. Because of this, Evelyn grew up in the hands of a foster mother.

She shared that she had a 7 year old daughter that had already been adopted. As she cried sharing her heart during a phone call in her motel, she said that she was thankful and wanted to protect the family that she had now. Although our circumstances make it difficult for us to receive new families, Pastor Park and I prayed and decided to welcome her into our family.

Won’t you be a monthly sponsor for Evelyn and her kids. Thank you!!

Members and parents from the Irvine Music Charity Foundation who taught our kids music Instruments visited us with a lot of household goods and food. We were particularly thankful because the volunteers had paid for the materials with the money that they had raised through working part time. It is so beautiful to see that the youth are living lives that resemble that of Jesus’. Praise the Lord who lights their future and blesses them.

Last month, Janet’s cute daughter Serenity turned four.

Although Serenity’s father broke the promise to visit her, she still celebrated a wonderful birthday full of presents and love.

Anthony and Angelina from our Rainbow Family children have graduated from elementary schools with excellent grades. This is the fruits of our friends like you. Thank you from bottom of my heart.

Proverbs19:1“He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.”

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

This Easter, Mothers hid eggs gifs all throughout the inside and outside of the house and explained that the person who found an egg and gifs became the owner. They further explained to the students that whoever calls on the name of the Lord and searches for Him could possess heaven. To the Lord who became hope to those who had neither hope nor anything, we thank Him and praise Him for allowing them to possess eternal life, that which is precious above all. We sincerely thank our friends for your prayers and support that we are continually able to pursue the Lord’s mission without the help of government subsidies.

Due to our current tribulation, mothers Vanessa and Bella along with the children are currently studying through classes that are provided online. Although different grades operate on different schedules, our manager Veronica has been exceptional as she has been leading this process under her supervision.

While praying for the children of RFI after school program, the Holy Spirit has helped us to share household materials, masks, and food to the children’s needed families. When they came without even thinking to keep their distance, the children did not hesitate to share hugs with their friends that they missed dearly. I was drawn to tears from their lovely interactions. For families who couldn’t come, we made sure to visit them and supply them with the food and household goods. Although no one is sure of how long this situation is to last, I promised to contact them as we gather more food and supplies for them. I thank you from bottom of my heart.

I give all thanks and glory to the faithful Lord that he has given us the opportunity during this difficult time to pray and serve one another other and share love. I pray and believe that the Lord will remember your heart and your deeds and provide you with infinite blessings.

 Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

 “Praise the Risen Lord!!”

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours. The abundantly sprouting buds and the blooming flowers seem to be joining us in the praise of our Lord’s resurrection.

The moms in our home have immersed themselves in the rehabilitation process and living healthy lives under God’s grace and His word. The almighty and Resurrected Lord who could have avoided the cost of the cross by calling army of angels and saved himself but he endured the cross for us. I praise him for giving us the opportunity to be resurrected within him. As our Rainbow Family members possess the power of the resurrection and strive to live our lives as new creation in Christ as fear and trembling we work in our salvation daily.

The Irvine Musician Charity Foundation has visited our ministry and RFI students have started a music therapy program. How precious it is to see the volunteers desiring to comfort broken souls through music. I thank the Lord for these young men who are to become the light for our younger generations. Thank you!!

The DTS evangelism team brought our children’s favorite meal and presented the gospel to us through a play of the scene on Golgotha Hill. They showed the scene of Christ Jesus dying in order that our sins may be forgiven and have also prayed for our children to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior. We were all moved by their passion and love for the gospel. Thank you so much.

Our afterschool students who live in motels get their breakfast and lunch at school and have dinner with us in the evenings. However due to the virus, we are currently unable to open up the school. I miss them so much and wonder they are eating…. wonder they are health…. My heart aches as I remember and think about the children.

Please pray with me for their well – being in such a time as this.

At this complicated and heartbreaking time, the Lord is protecting us as we set ourselves apart from the world through prayer and faith. Even during these times, I realize the Lord’s providence as he allows his people to keep their faith and serve their neighbors. I give thanks as I hope for a victorious life in Him.

We sincerely pray for the health of you and your families to our resurrected and faithful Lord.

1Peter1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

Jessi Family                            Granada Hill church                Rev. Jung Chan Kim and Mrs.

Dear friends

Hallelujah!!

Magpie, Magpie’s new year’s day was yesterday and our, our new year’s day is today…[translated Korean song for Korean New Year]

How are you doing during this season of climate change? Pursuing a new life under the Lord’s love and grace, Rainbow Family is offering our Chinese New Year’s greetings.

I would like to introduce a new family joined us this month: Jessi along with her three years old son, Joseph, and her newborn, Janice. The year that Joseph turned one, Jessi, who had not yet finished her drug rehabilitation education, returned to the father of her kids who was struggling with drug addictions. After she gained all her old habits back where in the process she lost her self-esteem and health, she returned to Rainbow Family. She is planning on receiving a year of rehabilitation education and has also stated that she is going to part ways with her children’s father. Looking at her determination, I am sure that she will change her ways this time. I ask for many prayers for Jessi’s family.

Last month we visited Granada Hill church pastored by Rev. Dong Hem Baek and had a great communion.

I praise the Lord that we were able to experience the Lord’s community that has been set apart from this dry and parched world.

Last week, I received a lot of advice and support from Pastor Jung Chan Kim and his wife while discussing the plans for the celebration of our 17th anniversary that is to be held on March 15th Sunday evening at 5:00 pm. I am very grateful that the Pastor and his wife always provided us with space and for their continuous support.

R.F.I. after school program, there have been some things that I have noticed among the kids. Rugged faces are now beaming with smiles and performances in schools have improved.

I pray that through God’s love, our kids can become even healthier and stronger second generation Christians and be great contributions to the Society in the future.

I would like to deeply bow my head in thanksgiving to our faithful friends like you who are pushing for a more faithful future generation by supporting and serving our ministry.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

Janet Family                        Christmas 2019                                   Mission Community Church

Happy New Year!!

Dear friends

Hallelujah!!
Anticipating the New Year and thankful for the Lord’s abounding love, Rainbow Family is offering our greetings.

Due to faithful supporters and various church groups, we were able to experience the expansive and river like love of Christ. We are genuinely looking forward to the Lord’s plan for the coming year 2020.

For our 2019 Christmas event, Pastor David Lee from Grace Bible Church started us off with grace abounding praises and a moving sermon. We beautifully ended with Pastor Jung Chan Kim prayer of blessing. Unlike the previous 17 years, we unexpectedly had about 80 guests and victorious families who had already graduated from the program and families that wanted to be a part of the season’s love and warmth. Despite having a lot of guests, not a one person returned home without a gift and we enjoyed the loveliest Jesus birthday feast. We praise the Lord who is always able to provide miracles like the five fish and two loaves. Hallelujah!!

In the last year churches, pastors and church members have faithfully provided us with material donations and prayers. Due to the help of our friends, the children and families who were deeply submerged in hopelessness were able to create hopes and dreams for their future. For 2020, I will remember all these faithful act of love and I promise that I will dedicate myself even further in spreading the gospel. I would also like to bow my head deep in thanksgiving.

I would like to introduce Janet who is 24 years old and expecting a child along with her daughter Serenity. Janet was the youngest of her siblings and was raised underneath a mother who was addicted to drugs. At the age of 10 she was adopted and still to this day she has great difficulty talking about her past. She shares that her mother still lives in a park and on the days that it gets cold, she would deliberately get herself in jail to rest in the warmth. She also told us that when she has extra money, she visits her mom with some food to share. She has no idea where the father of her daughter is and also is not close with the father of her child that she is currently bearing. I ask for prayers for the construction of her new life and a safety delivery. Thank you!!

Isaiah 61:3

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”

To friends I offer my blessings and prayers that the Lord will fill your Lives with the bounties of heaven and the riches of the earth in the New Year.

Because He lives,

Liz Lee
