Janet Family Christmas 2019 Mission Community Church
Happy New Year!!
Dear friends
Hallelujah!!
Anticipating the New Year and thankful for the Lord’s abounding love, Rainbow Family is offering our greetings.
Due to faithful supporters and various church groups, we were able to experience the expansive and river like love of Christ. We are genuinely looking forward to the Lord’s plan for the coming year 2020.
For our 2019 Christmas event, Pastor David Lee from Grace Bible Church started us off with grace abounding praises and a moving sermon. We beautifully ended with Pastor Jung Chan Kim prayer of blessing. Unlike the previous 17 years, we unexpectedly had about 80 guests and victorious families who had already graduated from the program and families that wanted to be a part of the season’s love and warmth. Despite having a lot of guests, not a one person returned home without a gift and we enjoyed the loveliest Jesus birthday feast. We praise the Lord who is always able to provide miracles like the five fish and two loaves. Hallelujah!!
In the last year churches, pastors and church members have faithfully provided us with material donations and prayers. Due to the help of our friends, the children and families who were deeply submerged in hopelessness were able to create hopes and dreams for their future. For 2020, I will remember all these faithful act of love and I promise that I will dedicate myself even further in spreading the gospel. I would also like to bow my head deep in thanksgiving.
I would like to introduce Janet who is 24 years old and expecting a child along with her daughter Serenity. Janet was the youngest of her siblings and was raised underneath a mother who was addicted to drugs. At the age of 10 she was adopted and still to this day she has great difficulty talking about her past. She shares that her mother still lives in a park and on the days that it gets cold, she would deliberately get herself in jail to rest in the warmth. She also told us that when she has extra money, she visits her mom with some food to share. She has no idea where the father of her daughter is and also is not close with the father of her child that she is currently bearing. I ask for prayers for the construction of her new life and a safety delivery. Thank you!!
Isaiah 61:3
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”
To friends I offer my blessings and prayers that the Lord will fill your Lives with the bounties of heaven and the riches of the earth in the New Year.
Because He lives,
