2021 Summer School               Casey Family               Christina & Lily

Dear, Friends    Hallelujah!!

How have you been during this warm weather?

Thankful in the Lord’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings.

Due to the pandemic, our after school and summer program dedicated to low income and single mother families reopened for the first time in almost 2 years. There are 19 students attending this year. Our summer school program that has been running for 10 years will only be held for a month this year due to financial shortcomings.  From August 10th, we will continue with the afterschool program. During our summer school program, we were able to lead and improve our local community with the gospel. We sincerely bow our heads in thanksgiving.

We would like to introduce a new family. Casey is a 26 years old single mother with her 3 year old daughter, Jamiese and her 2 year old son, Janiyan. Casey was born in an Indian Village in Michigan to a Korean father and American Indian mother. Thus, her surname is Yang. After a constant battle with drug use, her mother passed away 2 years ago from drug overdose. She shared that she had been in and out of prison because of her drug addiction. After seeing the changes in her brother’s life, she followed him to California and after having found a place to settle with us, she returned to Michigan to bring her children. I pray that as she lives in this Christian Community she will be able to be born again with the love of Christ. Please pray with me for her and her children’s Brand new life.

Christina, who we mentioned last month, because she is finally able to spend time with her daughter Lily whenever she wants she give all the Glory to God. Praise the Lord!!

Just as everyone is slowly recovering from the pandemic, Rainbow Family is also recovering. There were times when we thought we had to close our doors. During these difficult times, I sold my car to overcome tight financial positions. If any of our supporters have a car that is not in use, please consider donating it to the Rainbow Family it would be a great help.!! We will be happy to give you a tax exemption for the car.

Isaiah 61:3

“And provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

Because He lives,

Dear Friends

Hallelujah!!

Rainbow family wishes you good health and peace in the grace of the Lord who transcends all earthly Circumstances. Under the umbrella of His grace and gift of scripture, our Rainbow Family that is going through a healing process in which we are abundant in freedom and in Thanksgiving would like to offer our greetings to you and yours.

Last month, 28 year old single mother Lexus and her two sons, Mason who is 8 years old and Isaiah who is 6 years old, joined our family. Lexus shared that her family is still living in an Indian Village in South Dakota. She also shared that she has two daughters, but due to addiction complications are currently with their father. She hasn’t seen them for a long time. Last week, she was able to bring back her sons who were being cared for by her mother. She is very thankful that the Lord led her to our ministry as she is able to live with her children. With a grateful heart, she has accepted the Lord as her Savior. I thank the Lord who utilizes our precious supporters and our ministry. We ask for prayers and support for Lexus’s family.

I would like to introduce 28 year old single mother, Christina. She suffered from addiction because it was so hard for her to spend time away with her daughter who is already 15 and lived with her father. She shared how she met a wonderful person at church and was able to live with them. However, when she wanted to bring her daughter, they suggested that she move out. She prayed earnestly to the Lord asking Him to guide her to a place where she can live with her daughter. Due to Covid restrictions, she was only recently able to join our family. She is constantly giving thanks to the Lord who provided the space for her to live with her daughter. We are in desperate need of support and prayers.

Additionally, 29 year old single mother Lauren has also joined our family. She shared she is originally from Tennessee and had lost everything due to her addiction problems. In the second week of July, she is going back to Tennessee to see if it is possible to bring her kids back to California with her. We ask for all your prayers.

I have been in this ministry for 20 years, and I have learned that everyone, regardless of skin color, language, or age, needs a savior. I also learned that the Lord wants to use those of us who have already been saved to save others who have yet accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. I praise the Lord who uses friends like you and myself as a channel of blessing.

As we are starting our Summer and After School Program on July 8th, we ask all our supporters for material donations and prayers. Thank you!!

2 Corinthians 6:10

“sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

Rainbow family wishes you good health and peace in the grace of the Lord who transcends all earthly Circumstances. Under the umbrella of His grace and gift of scripture, our Rainbow Family that is going through a healing process in which we are abundant in freedom and in Thanksgiving would like to offer our greetings to you and yours.

For Easter, the mothers hid eggs and gifts inside and outside the house, saying that the person who finds it can claim it as his or hers. Likewise, they taught the children that those who call upon Jesus and seek his kingdom can possess heaven. I am thankful that the Lord became hope for those who do not have hope and confidence in this world. But above all, I praise the Lord for providing eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Calvary Chino Hills Church, who served our neighbors in need last Christmas, visited us with Rainbow Family’s favorite food, daily necessities, and dinner. We are so grateful that they still served their neighbors in need, despite these difficult times. Thank you!!

A longtime supporter of Rainbow Family, Las Vegas Happiness Church had visited us. The pastors and the youth group spent the night with us. There was much loved shared amongst everyone. We also had the opportunity to pray together for a safer America. I am especially grateful to Las Vegas Happiness Church for their dedication to supporting and praying for a crime free society.

On Saturday, May 22nd at 10am, there will be a Walk-A-Thon starting from our mission center in Buena Park. We will be walking 50 blocks around the neighborhood. Indicating the name of the individual that will be supported, please send your pledge along with support coupon.I thank you from bottom of my heart.

we need your help!!

To the Lord who became hope to those who had neither hope nor anything, we thank Him and praise Him for allowing them to possess eternal life, that which is precious above all. We sincerely thank our friends for your prayers and support that we are continually able to pursue the Lord’s mission without the help of government subsidies.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

                      Jocelyn                                           Sharing day                                  Vanessa Family

Praise the Risen Lord!!

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours. The abundantly sprouting buds and the blooming flowers seem to be joining us in the praise of our Lord’s resurrection.

I would like to introduce 25 year old Jocelyn who was sent to us. Jocelyn suffered greatly due to drug abuse, and she also shared that she grew up under single mother with her brother. The year she turned 3, her parents divorced and thus she always finds herself to be lonely. When our gentle and loving Jocelyn found out she was pregnant she joined a rehabilitation center for 60 days to quit drugs. After she completed her rehabilitation program, she joined our Rainbow Family. Although she has a long way to go she has accepted Jesus Christ as her savior. We are supporting her rehabilitation education and bible study. Even though it is Jocelyn’s first time reading the bible, she is struck in awe by the many statements of truth. We ask for your prayer and support for Jocelyn who is holding steadfast to the love of Christ.

Vanessa and her 3 children who have been living with us for 2 years and 6 month have moved to an apartment with their grandmother who has moved from Kansas. As Vanessa, the children, and I were very close to each other, it hurts my heart to see them go. But I put their future in the hands of the Lord and pray with all my heart for the peace of her family.

Once a month, we are distributing food and household items to our neighbors in need. This time, we were able to share a many 20 pound bags of rice given by the Korean Christian Radio Station, the food provided by the Ilshin Presbyterian Church, and the household items that were given by our friends like you. For families that did not have cars or who walked and difficulty coming to us, we delivered the items to them. Even in the United States, there are many families that are in need. All of this ministry is possible because of our friends like you. We bow our heads in thanksgiving.

During these complicated and heartbreaking times, God has placed many faithful people like us who are not swayed by the things of the world. Even at such times as this,

I want to be able to realize the providence of our Father and protect my heart while serving our neighbors.

1Peter1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, the Lord’s resurrection power that makes all things good and an army of angels will always be by your side.

Upon receiving an apartment for her and her four children, they have move on thanking the Lord, Steel coming every Sunday to have church service with us. Because of loving friends like you, we were able to reap such beautiful fruits.

He then gave us the funds as a donation that he raised from selling the shirts. I am grateful for his beautiful heart.

I have recently met again with the Beautiful ladies from Maranatha prayer group. During Christmas when they showered our children with gifts.         Saeil Church                  Children in Rainbow           Home With Grace Park

Dear Friends

Hallelujah!!!

The Magpie New Year’s Day is yesterday. Our New Year’s Day is today’ (Korean Lunar Song)

How are you doing in the midst of harsh weather changes?

Indebted in love and pursuing a new life in the Lord, Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings.

An old friend of ours, Assistant Pastor Chu Ji Hye along with Rve. Byeong Noh Jung and members of Saeil church, have brought gifts and donations to our Rainbow Family. We prayed for the cooperation of many for the Lord’s will as we parted ways. I believe that the Lord will abundantly fill their stretched arms and I am forever grateful for their love.

Our Rainbow Family kids who have been studying tirelessly through virtual learning have become restless as they desire to run outside with their friends. And as they can’t go out, they have felt very frustrated and trapped. Just as I was feeling sorrowful for their situation, young volunteers from IMCF group have gathered money and have provided few of our kids with bicycles. With their helpful start and with the donations of our supporters, we were able to provide each kid with a bike. The children are very happy as they get to release their energy and frustrations. I bow my head in thanksgiving to all our supporters’ love and help.

I would like to genuinely thank deacon Grace Park and our supporters who have provided our Rainbow Family love and encouragement as they are growing and maturing both spiritually and physically.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, the Lord’s grace, protection, and peace will always be with you.

January 2021

Happy New Year!!

Dear friends

Hallelujah!!

Anticipating the New Year and thankful for the Lord’s abounding love, Rainbow Family is offering our greetings.

Due to faithful supporters and various church groups, we were able to experience the expansive and river like love of Christ. We are genuinely looking forward to the Lord’s plan for the coming year 2021.

For our 2020 Christmas event, Pastor David Lee from Grace Bible Church started us off with grace abounding praises and a moving sermon. We beautifully ended with Pastor Jung Chan Kim prayer of blessing. Unlike the previous 18years, we unexpectedly had about 60 guests and victorious families who had already graduated from the program and families that wanted to be a part of the season’s love and warmth. Despite having a lot of guests, not a one person returned home without a gift and we enjoyed the loveliest Jesus birthday feast. We praise the Lord who is always able to provide miracles like the five fish and two loaves. Hallelujah!!

Throughout this year, the members of various churches who are our friends, pastors, supporters, and organizations have continuously shown us their love through their faith and prayers. Their support has provided Rainbow Family members and neighbors in need with the living hope of the Lord. As I remember all the blessings that were bestowed upon us, I promise that I will do my best to proclaim the Gospel, and I bow my head and thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.

 Isaiah 61:3

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

We pray that the protection, hope, and peace of the Lord will always be with our supporters who constantly provide to neighbors in need with outstretched arms. We bless that you will be filled with spiritual things of heaven and the fertile things of the earth.

Our yearly Thanksgiving celebration in which we help our neighbors in need, a tradition started many years ago by previous R.F.I. Board of director Soo Lee, has every year been graced with a special volunteer and givers that made it possible to continue spreading the love of Christ. This year, Board of Director Jennifer Cho and Il shin Presbyterian Church donate turkeys and ingredients that warmed many families for this Thanksgiving.

We sincerely thank our supporters for your beautiful love and support that have made it possible for us to experience the miracle of heaven on earth.

As scheduled on November 28th, Rainbow Family held our Walk-a-Thon. This year Pastor David Lee from Grace Bible Church joined us. After walking 50 blocks, we shared a wonderful lunch together before we parted.

We sincerely thank all of you who sponsored 2020 Walk-a-thon.

For most of the year in 2020, I have been forgetting what it was to live in the norm, but I am grateful and joyous when I am reminded of the Lord’s unchanging grace. Our Rainbow Family was able to spend a peaceful day full of love with hearty meals with our family bound in the love in Christ.

On December 20st at 1:30 PM, we will be hosting our annual Christmas celebration of sharing where we pass out gifts and share delicious food with our neighbors and children going through difficult times. Thankful for God’s love and compassion, Rainbow Family invites you and your families and friends to this lovely Jesus birthday event.

The Rainbow Family children are writing letters to the Lord exchanging gifts, I definitely do not want to disappoint them. Please help me so that I will be able to provide gifts for our RFI families and the families who have graduated from our program in previous years.

Luke 2:14

Grace Park & Friends                     Pastor David Lee                                 Pastor Park & Wife

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

How are you during these difficult times?

I hope and pray that there have been no difficulties due to the virus.

I pray with all my heart that the Lord’s encouragement and peace is always with you.

Thankful for God’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our greetings to you and yours.

A long friend of ours and supporter Missionary Grace Park along with some her nurses came and gave our Rainbow Family members flu shots. Not only did she offer some medical services, she prayed for Rainbow Family as well.

We are very grateful for their love and volunteer work.

Bella, who has been part of our family for a year, is currently attending Cypress College.

Bella’s youngest son, Ryan, just turned 3 years old. Although his dad could not attend due to his imprisonment,

Ryan was still able to spend the birthday with lots of love and joy.

May we pray that our loving heavenly Father will continuously be with Ryan and light up his future.

Pastor Park, who has worked very hard for our Rainbow Family ministry, married a wonderful Lady.

Please celebrate with us!! `

Pastor Park has been faithfully serving God and serving Rainbow Ministry for the last 18 years without pay.

However, as he is starting a family, we have decided to provide him with monthly remunerations.

This time Every year there were concerts and other events held to fund our ministry.

However, for 2020 there have been great financial difficulties as we were not able to host these events.

In order to keep our doors open we have decided to host another Walk-A-Thon on November 28th. We ask for your prayers and your support. Thank you so much.

After the Sunday afternoon service held on November 15th, with the support of Pastor Lee and Grace Bible Church, we can giveaway turkey and other foods to help prepare the Thanksgiving meals for our RFI motel kids families in need.

We desperately need your prayers and your support.

We praise the faithful Lord who has allowed us to share spiritual and physical food with our neighbors.

Although Rainbow Family may be small in size, we pray that just like the 12 disciples who evangelized to the world with the gospel that our ministry will be torch the world, shining in the dark and rotting places as living witnesses.

James2:14

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church and business always.

God bless you!

I hope and pray that there have been no difficulties due to the virus. I pray with all my heart that the Lord’s encouragement and peace is always with you. Thankful for God’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our greetings to you and yours.

Last month Vanessa’s adorable daughter, Isabelle turned 11 years old. We were able to have a great time with her loved ones. The daughter of a single mother that father was constantly in and out of jail, Isabelle is now full of happiness as daughter of God.

I would like to thank Pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church Jeong-Chan Kim and his wife for their continual support and prayers, material donations, visits, and lovely encouragements.

Every month we dedicate our time and resources to help out our R.F.I families who live in motels and other neighbors in need. Last month, our freezer broke down and the food was spoiled. Thankfully, Elder Hoon sang Kim helped us out with K-swiss products and daily necessities and Elders Jong do Park from Calvary Presbyterian Church we were able to provide with school supplies, toys, and Shoes.

Children were so grateful and happy.

We started the service with a sermon prepared by Pastor David Lee, the senior pastor of Grace Bible Church. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the delicious meal that they had prepared for us. There was a miracle where some people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I am glad that many found their comfort in the Lord during these hard times.

I am so thankful to our supporters who provide through their churches. Because of your help, we are able to provide and help others even in difficult times. We thank our Lord who proclaims victory and shows the world that His kingdom is always abundant with love and blessings. Once again we praise the Lord and thank our supporters with tears for your everlasting love and support.
