We hope you are staying well amidst these unpredictable weather changes. The Rainbow Family, striving to live according to God’s Word within His grace, sends you warm greetings.

Estella, who has been living with us at the Rainbow home, is expecting to give birth to a son next month. The mothers at the Rainbow home have generously gifted her with various items needed for the baby, celebrating her with genuine joy. Their gestures, filled with the heart of God, deeply moved not only Estella but also me. Thank you!!

During her time with the Foster family, Gealsy mentioned she had never celebrated a birthday party before. So, we gathered to celebrate her birthday, shared cake, and enjoyed a joyful day together. We are also deeply grateful for the love and support of our sponsors, who have helped Gealsy, after accepting Jesus and living at the Rainbow home, to enroll at Cyprus University. 

She is now happily studying and thriving. Thank you!!

Our longtime friends, the Young Leaders of America group, led by their president and several parents, visited us with daily necessities and snacks that the children love. We are once again thankful for the helping hands and prayers you have extended over the years. Thank you!!

Happy New Year!!

Dear friends, 

Hallelujah!!

With hearts full of gratitude for the Lord’s boundless love and grace, the Rainbow family extends New Year greetings.

Even this Christmas, we are overwhelmed by the unchanging love and blessings of our dear supporters, numerous churches, organizations, and many kind individuals. We deeply appreciate the Lord’s abundant grace and eagerly anticipate His plans for us in 2025.

The 2024 Christmas event began with a sermon filled with grace and a praise service led by Pastor Jo Park of Ilshin Presbyterian Church, followed by a feast prepared by many of you in celebration of the Lord’s birthday.

We are sincerely grateful.

Just like the past 20 years, families of graduates from our ministry and over 50 neighboring families in need came to receive gifts. Thanks to the immense love and support from various churches and sponsors, no one left without a gift. We praise the Lord, who always performs the miracle of the five loaves and two fish. Hallelujah!!

Long-time supporters from the Mission community Church’s Amen group brought essential goods that can be used for a long time. We cannot express enough how much joy this brings to those who have nothing. Thank you!!

Pastor Chang-Kun Kim from the Korean Church of Orange County led a beautiful service with harp praise and words of inspiration. They also brought lasting essentials and gifts, providing great help. 

Our heartfelt thanks to Deacon Dong-Gil Kim from Il shin Presbyterian Church, who continuously supports the neighboring children with school supplies and backpacks every year. We shed tears of gratitude for the heavenly miracles we experience every Christmas.

Isaiah 61:3 

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

We pray that the protection, hope, and peace of the Lord will always be with you who constantly provide to neighbors in need with outstretched arms. We bless that yoube filled with spiritual things of heaven and the fertile things of the earth.

Merry Christmas!!

Dear Friends   

Hallelujah!!

How have you been during this ever-changing weather? We, the Rainbow Family, who seek a new life in the grace of the Lord and are being healed by His love, send our heartfelt greetings to you. We sincerely thank the living Lord for the love He has poured upon us throughout 2024 and for your prayers and generous support.

This Thanksgiving started with a graceful sermon and prayer by Pastor Isaac Oh, who serves at Ilshin Presbyterian Church, followed by a feast prepared by the members of Irvine Onnuri Church, who brought delicious food. Everyone who came to the mission center was able to eat and drink to their heart’s content and take home turkey and other foods. It was a special Thanksgiving thanks to their sincere support. We are deeply grateful.

Before the worship service, we shared words of GOD with long-time supporter and friend Downey Good Shepherd Church Pastor John Kim, his wife, and the elders. What a blessed time it was. We thank them for their love and support.

Among the volunteers of the ‘Share and Serve’ group, Derek Ahn, Daniel Kim, and Angela Kim made triangle kimbap and sold it at school for lunch, donating all the proceeds to support the Rainbow Family during the holiday. We believe that the Lord knows their love and warm hearts and will bless their future. Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Dear Friends, 

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.

Living in the grace of the Lord with a grateful heart, Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings.

The female leaders of Torrance Shalom Church visited our mission center. Among them was a deacon I remembered, and I was delighted to see her. I am grateful to have met such good people who have missions in mind and are planning church work. We had a wonderful time promising beautiful connections in the Lord’s love for the future. Thank you.

On October 19, 2024, we held our fall walk-a-thon. Workers from Emmanuel Baptist Church and longtime supporter, Pastor Soo-il Hyun and his wife, joined us. We walked 50 blocks near the mission center, sharing many stories along the way, and returned to enjoy the prepared food together. It was a joyful time with the mission center moms and children coming together. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in and supported the walk-a-thon.

Adriana’s daughter Mia, who is living with us at the mission center, turned 6 years old. Since entering the mission center, Adriana has found a job, purchased a car, and even regained custody of little Mia from the government, living each day with gratitude. We ask for your prayers and support for Mia’s family.       

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Dear Friends, 

Hallelujah!!

We hope you have not been affected by any disasters or the ongoing virus. We pray that the great comfort and peace of the Lord be with you always. The Rainbow Family, grateful for the Lord’s grace, sends you greetings in the name of the Lord.

We would like to introduce Samantha, a 25-year-old single mother, and her 1-year-old son, Roland. Samantha was born in California and grew up with her two older brothers under a single mother. She never met her father and grew up in a home where her mother’s boyfriends came and went, feeling lonely. She witnessed her mother struggling with drug addiction and eventually fell into drug use herself. Her mother still lives in a nearby shelter. Samantha does not know who the father of her baby is, but she is determined to raise her son on her own. She currently works at Walmart and, despite late hours, manages without complaints. We ask for your prayers and support for Samantha and her son.

Pastor Hyo-Sung Ahn and his wife, along with three deaconesses from Il Shin Presbyterian Church, long-time supporters of the Rainbow Mission, visited us with supplies, food, and donations. Their visit brought great comfort and encouragement to me and the members of the mission. Thank you very much for your love!!

We would also like to introduce the Fyla volunteer group, which has been serving the mission for a long time. We are grateful to the students and their parents who love and serve their neighbors in this era. The Lord will surely be pleased with their love for their neighbors, which they show by visiting us twice a month without fail, and will bless them greatly.

Thanks to the support of you and your precious churches, we are able to generously share with our neighbors and children in need even during these difficult times. We tearfully thank the Lord, who always fills His kingdom with blessings and proclaims victory to the world, and we praise the good Lord who allows us to experience miracles through your love.

Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called According to his purpose.”
