Dear Friends

Hallelujah!!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.

With a grateful heart that resides under God’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our greetings

RFI Summer school, which is a program offered to our neighbors in need, has begun. We have 24 students that are attending this year. Due to lack of funds this summer, we could open for only one month. RFI summer school has been open for last 8 years. In addition the disappointment of our students, Pastor Park and I also were downhearted.

However, there is a lovely story to be told of our Lord who listens to our prayers and wishes to constantly bless us.

Jong Sun Kim, Pastors wife of Calvary Presbyterian Church, was very kind to call in prayer request for Rainbow family to the Korean Gospel Broadcast station. A person who desires not reveal his name has kindly donated $2000 for our summer school program. Calvary Presbyterian church has also collected donations for the continuation of RFI summer school. And Wonderful friends came forward to donate. Due to their support, Rainbow Family is able to continue to help our neighbors in need with the love of GOD and to better our community.

I deeply bow my head in thanksgiving and praise the Lord for his faithfulness!

On June 14, we held our Walk-A-Thon. Our families living in the home and the RFI summer school students and Volunteers walk 50 blocks in the neighborhood. After the Walk-A-Thon, we ate delicious lunch and spent a lovely time together. I would like to give thank from bottom of my heat to the sponsors.

Pastor Chung Hoon Ahn from Mission Community Church, his wife, and assistant pastor, deacons, and have taken our RFI students to the science center in Santa Ana for a field trip It was a wonderful opportunity for the students as they were able to open up their eyes and build broader visions by interacting with a new environment.

I would like to take this time to thank friends from Mission Community Church.

I believe that the Lord is allowing and providing for the best conditions so that those who are alienated in society may overcome and declare victory in His name. I believe that the work and giving of our friends like you are helping in God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank You!!

Isaiah 61:3

And provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beautyinstead of ashes, the oil of joyinstead of mourning, and a garment of praiseinstead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness,

Dear Friends Hallelujah!!

How are you doing during this season of harsh weather changes?

Under the umbrella of His grace and gift of scripture, our Rainbow Family that is going through a healing process in which we are abundant in freedom and in Thanksgiving would like to offer our greetings to you and yours.

Last month, 10 students from Rainbow Family who attend Centralia Elementary School received awards and numerous praises. Because of their achievements, the mothers and I cried tears of joy.

I would like to thank and praise the Lord who has given us the best gift of eternal life and because He has become the hope and courage to our students. The principal also shook my hand in thanks saying that RFI students’ grades have been improving and also that their attendance have been perfect. I would like to genuinely thank the Lord and our supporters who have made it possible for our mission home to be fruitful despite not having government subsidies. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and monetary support that has allowed our families and the Rainbow school children to really focus on the word of the Lord.

Dr. Hue Yeon Hong from L.A. recently started a center that housed women and children who have been victims of domestic abuse. After a lot of planning and deliberation, we have decided to make her center and Rainbow Family feature sister programs where the focus and goals would be of biblical values. I would like to thank and encourage Dr. Hue Yeon Hong and the directors for helping individuals be triumphant within the Word and also for guiding them to the Lord.

Although we are constantly under the embrace and the grace of the Lord, we are struggling financially. However, as this mission has been appointed to me by God, I pray and continue to strive.

Please don’t forget that us. We need your help now than ever before!! Thank you!!

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over,

will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.””

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Manse and her son                     Pastor Young                                  Rainbow Family

 Dear friends

Hallelujah!!

How have you been doing? Desiring to live by the word of God, Rainbow Family is offering our monthly greetings.

I would like to introduce a family that has been sent to us last month: 18 year old single mother Manse and her one week old son, Jose. Living under a mother with severe drug addictions, Manse and her younger sister of two years lived very difficult lives. When Manse turned 7, her mother met a new boyfriend and left both Manse and her younger sister. She lived in several foster homes for more than 10years in which she also was separated with her sister. After few years later she was arrested and in and out of Detention centers. Having no one to lean on, she told us that she found comfort in her gang friends as they treated her like family. Having met her boyfriend in the gang, she was susceptible to physical abuse and even participated in theft and prostitution. Unfortunately, because all of the events that went around in her life, she was unable to even grade from middle school. After the father of her son went to jail, Manse went to her moms home ask for help but she wasn’t welcome . Through introduction of our Rainbow Family, Manse brought her newly born son and have been part of our Rainbow Family ever since. She was glad and stated that she would have come here earlier if she had known such a place existed. Desperate for love that she had been starving, Manse cries with overwhelming thanks when I ask simple questions like did you sleep well? Did you eat?

I pray and ask for support so that Manse and Jose will be able to succeed and be healed by the love of God.

Rainbow Family Residence and Rainbow after school members areincreasing and we are having trouble keeping up with the monthly financial obligations that are involved with maintenance and living costs. We are heavily relying on God, and friends like you for prayers and support. Thank you!!

You will be able to sponsor one family for $500.

I would like to genuinely thank our friends for donating, whether in large or small amounts, and for praying for our Rainbow Family.

Pastor Young Tae Kim from Mission 3:18 church and his wife have visited us and brought us a delightful lunch. I would like to thank the church members and the pastor and his wife for always being a source of encouragement to our single mothers and their children.

 James1:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

                    Aiden first birthday                                 R.F.I. School

DearFriends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours in this changing of weather.

With a grateful heart that resides under God’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our greetings.

On January 21st, we celebrated the first birthday of our cute Aiden (Sunwoo), Esther Kim’s baby boy who

joined our family last year in March when he was barely two months old. Through rehabilitation education and love, Esther Kim has gone through a lot of healing and improvement, but she still has moments when she is reminded of her painful past.

I would like to ask for prayers and support for Esther as she builds her self-esteem and marches faithfully and joyfully towards her future.

There are 18 students that are attending R.F.I. after school program. They have grown so much in 7 years that we now have middle school students. It is wonderful to see the middle school kids volunteering their time and helping out younger students with their homework. All the children have memorized the Lord’s prayer and their heart for wanting to know more about the Lord is growing evermore. When the kids are told about stories in the bible, their hearts are filled with joy. Due to their growing curiosity and desire to know more, they are asking numerous questions about Jesus.

I give all the praise and glory to God. Hallelujah!!

R.F.I. after school program, there have been some things that I have noticed among the kids. Rugged faces are now beaming with smiles and performances in schools have improved.

I pray that through God’s love, our kids can become even healthier and stronger second generation Christians and be great contributions to the Society in the future.

I would like to deeply bow my head in thanksgiving to our faithful friends like you who are pushing for a more faithful future generation by supporting and serving our ministry.

Ephesians2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear friends Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours in this changing of weather.

With a grateful heart that resides under God’s grace, we offerour greetings.

2018 Walk-a-thon was very special due to the Pastor’s wife Mrs. Han and wonderful friends of Immanuel Churchwho has always supported us above and beyondand the volunteers fromIrvine volunteer group we were able to complete the Walk-A-Thonsafely. After a great time of fellowship and delicious lunch, we had a blessed time in which we offered glory to the Lord through praises and performances by RFI children.

I would like to thank all the churches and friends who donated for the RFI 2018 Walk-A-Thon.

The KAM chorale hosted a Love Concert that was dedicated to Rainbow Family Inc. Children from our ministry have also performed in the concert. Pastor Ahn and elders from Mission Community church and elders from Calvary Presbyterian Church have with grateful hearts served from early evening until the event finished.

I thank from bottom of my heart to the KAM chorale members and friends who volunteered their time and gifts.

Members of Grace Bible Church, which has recently settled down in Irvine, have visited our ministry. With Pastor David Lee’swonderful sermon and some church congregants have kindly provided us with delicious Brazilian Barbeque and monetary donations. Due to their visit, we were able to have a joyous and lovely Sunday Service at Home.

We want to thank them for their love and generosity.

After the expansion of our ministry, our residents and after school students, have been able to experience great joy of having more space to reside, study and play. However, the families that we have to help in the name of the Lord have been increasing, which means the costs have also risen as well, making it very difficult for us to maintain our ministry. Additionally, I amconcerned that we are not going to have enough to share food and gifts to celebrate with needy neighbors for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please help me to help others!!

Every Thanksgiving, we distribute turkey and other food items around to our neighbors. The same will happen this year on a Saturday November 17th at 11:00 A.M. Please come join us!!

Psalm100:4-5
