“Praise the Risen Lord!!”

Dear Friends, Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you. All of the new shoots and blooming flowers of springtime are reminding us of all creation and its celebration of the resurrection of Christ with us.

Our Rainbow Family ministry will be having a 13th anniversary thank giving praise on the Sunday evening of March 20th5PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. During the last 13 years, the Lord has poured out his blessings and his endless Love of which I give great thanks to. I also give thanks to the churches, organizations, and friends that have showered their grace with prayers and support. In order to make this evening a festive one, I encourage you to invite your friends and family so you could light up the place with his presence.

The assistant pastor of Torrance Good Shepherd Church, Kim Chang Gun and elders from the women’s ministry, have visited us to talk and pray about the expansion of the Rainbow Family Facility. They have also taken the time to encourage and love on the kids at the Home. I deeply thank them for their continuous interest and support that they have provided for us.

In order to learn more and join our ministry, the YWAM discipleship class teachers and students have visited us. Their passion and their work in Christ has given me and Pastor Park understand once again we are all in one accord in him.

Even Just with the RFI School kids and volunteers, the Rainbow facility proves to be very tight in space, so they eat and study in the front lawn. For the expansion of the Rainbow Facility, we ask for your prayers and financial support. Please help us so that RFI can be a channel of blessing to spread the good news of gospel and love of God to the community in greater way. Thank you!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Dear Friends

Hallelujah!!

Families of RFI wish you a very happy new year with God’s grace and blessings!!

This Christmas, through the help of friends like you, churches, foundations, and RFI board of directors, we were able to experience the wide and river like grace of the Lord. As we thank him for his endless grace and mercy, we look forward to the plans that he has in store for us in the upcoming year of 2016.

For the 2015 Christmas event, families that have graduated RFI rehabilitation program came to visited us and about 70 or more RFI students and neighboring families have also showed up with children and enjoyed the meals that we have prepared. We were also able to pass out numerous gifts without missing a single person. We want to thank the friends, churches, foundations, and board of directors for the presents and various donations for the event.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Senator Young Kim and the elder of the Il Shin Church, Kim Dong Gil for providing the RFI students with yearlong school supplies.

I would like to sincerely thank direct Jung Hwa Lim, leader Deborah Joo, and other countless volunteers for their hard efforts in volunteering.

Through the endless prayers and all the supports from friends like you, we are able to gain financial strength and encouragement to start the process of enlarging our facility. We are grateful for your partnership in this project. Thank you!!

The Rainbow Family mission in 2016 would also spread the blessing and love of God to families and the societies that we live in. I believe in faith that your prayers and support will continue to fulfill the works of the Lord. Thank you!!

Isaiah 61:3

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”

To friends I offer my blessings and prayers that the Lord will fill your Lives with the bounties of heaven and the riches of the earth in the New Year.

,                                             Merry Christmas!!

Hallelujah!!

Christmas greetings to you from Rainbow Family in the name of our Lord!

I give thanks to God who has given us our calling with His love and grace and has allowed us to see the fruits of His gospel in the lives of many this year. The year of 2014 was especially filled with blessings, and we thank our Lord for taking care of our Rainbow Family members and the children of the RFI after school program. Truly, His grace is sufficient for us today.

As our ministry continues to expand, our financial burdens become heavier, but God has given me the patience and obedience to stay humble for the works that are sure to come in the future. I am always amazed to see His working hands through the help of friends like you and I am incredibly grateful.

This Thanksgiving, Senator Young Kim, Principal of Livingstone Jung Ha Lim, and supporters were able to distribute turkey and other delicious foods to the underprivileged neighbors. We also had very good time when senator Young Kim and the children sang together and ate delicious lunch. I thank everyone for making this Thanksgiving so plentiful. Praise the Lord!!

Rainbow cell group in Mission Community Church became a new supporter of RFI in 2015 and raised funds by holding a bazaar for us. I was touched by their love and enthusiasm while we worked together on a Saturday from early morning on. I am so thankful for their friendship

Pastor Eugene and Elder Esther Koh from the Young Nak Celebration church visited Rainbow Home. I would like to use this opportunity to thank Celebration Church for sharing their love to the underprivileged neighbors.

Many of the young children who come to us are raised by single mothers and have difficulties with self-esteem and anger or abandonment issues. They also tend to struggle academically compared to their peers and have trouble forming relationships at school. Through RFI’s after school program, especially its music and art therapy classes, many of these children have begun to show signs of healing and improvement in both their grades and their behavior. Thank God for all of our volunteers,

Special Thanks to all of our supporters who responded to our Phone-A-Thon. I ask for your continual support as I make every effort to raise these Mothers and children to be healthy and educated members of society in Christ.

Please help me to provide these mothers and children in need with presents that will surely brighten their faces Christmas morning.;               I need your help!!

I promise that with your prayers and support, I will continue to do my best to spread the great love of Jesus Christ in season and out of season.

P.S.: when you shop at Amazon.com please register to give to Rainbow family Inc. at (smile.amazon.com) when you do that we will receive 0.5% of your purchase this will help us great deal to help women and children in need. Thank you so much!!

John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

I pray that the living hope of miracles and blessings are with you and your loved ones in this glorious season.

Good Shepherd’s 14th anniversary       Won Foundation                     Ballet

Happy Thanksgiving

 Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you

Rainbow Family is offering our greetings in the name of the Lord.

In a blink of an eye, 2015 has already reached autumn and I am happy to welcome the season of bountiful harvest. Even the blooming flowers among the leaves seem to be praising the works of his hands! This 2015, through the supporter’s prayers and support in love, Rainbow Family has been able to make a society in which we are able to work and grow together. For more than a decade, Rainbow Family has been a stepping stone for single moms to go back into society and we have also been feeding and teaching children and neighbors altogether in financially difficult situations. While witnessing their healing through God’s love, I experienced that he Love is same yesterday, today, and forever.

During the 14th anniversary of The Torrance Good Shepherd’s church, R.F.I. students sang God’s love and glorified him.

I would like to sincerely congratulate the Torrance Good Shepherd’s 14th anniversary and I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for their prayers and support through the years.

The Won Foundation, that supports the R.F.I. in the United States and the orphanage in North Korea, held a Hope Sharing Love music fundraising concert in Orange Korean church. Since the opening of the RFI, the Won Foundation has supporting the Rainbow Family missions in various ways and allowed us to bear abundant fruits in the name of the Lord. I would especially like to thank CEO Mr. David Won and Mrs. Meenah Won for their Love.

The RFI students have been so happy and thankful because they were given the opportunity to learn ballet. Although they so desperately wanted to learn music and the arts, the RFI students have never had the opportunity to do so, however our wonderful Lord has allowed for the volunteers to make this opportunity available and I thank the Lord.

The Rainbow Family has been distributing gifts and food during Thanksgiving and Christmas to the neighbors.

And every year During these seasons, mothers and children who are graduates from RFI rehabilitation program will gather together. Please remember to support us so that we can share the heavenly abundance with these families. For those who could not participate in the Phone-A-Thon and whoever wants to donate gifts for thanksgiving and Christmas, now is the good time to help us.

Thank God we are almost ready to start the construction for the facility, we are needing strong support and prayers more than ever please won’t you help us.

Psalm 100:4-5

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you and yours!

2015 Livingstone Gala Show    Sunny Hills Recycling Club   Il-Shin Church Youth Group

Dear friends

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray you are well during this time of season change?

In the name of the Lord, Rainbow Family offers our greetings.

As we are approaching Harvest Season, I am once again reminded of the Lord’s goodness and give him all praise.

Last month, Livingstone Organization invited Rainbow Family children to perform with violin alongside students who also sang the praise songs. We were provided with delicious dinner.

Through an amazing and rare experience, Rainbow Family students were able to grow in confidence. Pastor Park and I are so thankful because we believe that the phrase I always said, “do it it will work” combined with the Lord’s love has been surely engraved in their hearts. I really want to thank the Livingstone Community Volunteer Group and the director Junghwa Lim and student representative Deborah Joo for their wonderful help.

The Sunny High school students and parents have gathered anything that was able to be recycled; bottles, cans, and glass to raise money for our Rainbow Family building extension project. Sometimes as I look to the next generation, the view is hazy but because of the Sunny High School student’s sincerity and genuineness, I gain hope. I praise the lord as these student’s beautiful harts will be remembered and therefore be given their deserved blessings.

A long friend of Rainbow Family, Il-Shin Church Youth Group representatives have visited and brought clothes, shoes, snacks, and monetary donations. I am once again so thankful that Il-Shin Church have so long supported us with their prayers, love, and supports.

The Won Foundation donated woman’s clothing, we sold donated clothes and we were able to raise over $1,000. Beyond their regular month support, they have numerously help us with clothes donations and spent their time and shared the Lord’s love with the Rainbow family. I believe and give thanks that the Lord is abundantly blessing the missions that are being carried through the Won Foundation.

Pastor Park and I embrace the Lord who works together for all good according to his purpose.

In season or out of season, we will proclaim the Good works of God.

Psalms40:3

“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”

P.S. On the last week of October, we will proceed with a Phone-a-Thon, in which I pray for your great response and bountiful support.

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Rainbow Choir         2015 Summer School Graduation  Assemblywoman Young Kim

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you. In the name of the Lord, Rainbow Family offers our greetings.

With 26 graduating students and 50-60 guests, the 2015 RFI Summer school Program that was initiated through your prayers and support had elaborate graduation ceremony.

During summer, they students were able to sense a bit of freedom from their leaving condition by making observations and visiting amusement parks. Unimaginable in their given situation, they even learned to play instruments. They were also given the opportunity to follow the footsteps of European artists as they hung all their excellent pieces on their walls at home for display. Not only that but once every week they learned to handle their money during our shopping trips. Seeing our choir praise the Lord with meaningful choreography allowed me to imagine the Lord’s smile as he looked down upon them.

With a humble mind I want to thank Director Lim Jung Hwa and her fellow students from Livingstone community volunteer program who have come out every day during this summer to offer their time for the kids. I would also like to thank the RFI board members and the Edison International for their prayers and financial support, and unceasing love. And last but not least, I would like to offer my thanks to all the Pastors and Church attendees who have taken the time to visit and pray for our children and support our program. Without friends like you I dare not think it would have been possible for our kids who have been discouraged by their circumstances to develop such great self-esteem and self-confidence. With great gospel education, these children are displaying bright attitudes and overflowing love. I would lastly like to thank Kim Dong Gil, who has donate and prepare gifts and supplies for the students at the graduation.

Assemblywoman Young Kim has also showered her love with greatly needed school supplies to the kids. The RFI after school students have also participated in this event. Listening to words of encouragement from Young Kim, the students had a great time. I take my time once again to thank Assemblywoman Young Kim and Livingstone Doctor Park Kyung Il.

Phillipians4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Torrance Good Shepherd Church Calvary Presbyterian Church    Orange Hill Church

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you.

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord.

We would like to invite you to join us in prayer for all the victims that have been affected by the tragic earthquake in Nepal.

Our good friend from Torrance Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church Woman’s Group, who visited us last month, brought us donations of needed items for the children, along with monthly support. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their generosity.

A first time visitor from Orange Hill Church, Pastor Chang Ho Bak along with the elders of the church blessed us with a contribution for the building funds. They encouraged, and prayed for us. We were all touched by their humility. We hope and pray for this beautiful relationship to continue on until the day of redemption.

Calvary Presbyterian Church is very close to our facility. They welcomed us in and allowed us the privilege to celebrate our 10th anniversary in their sanctuary. In the past, we were invited to their church to speak for a woman’s group. We thank Pastor Jung Chan Kin and the congregation for their continuous prayer and support.

Thank the LORD for friends like you, that have helped us to come this far; to even think about the renovation of the facility. Without your help we cannot help give these underprivileged mothers and children a home, love, and education that is needed. We are not even half way to amount of funds that are needed for this project. So, it is our goal to raise the remainder of the finances to continue on with the renovation. We are reaching out in hopes that your heart would be opened to help us so that we could continue helping those in need in this community. Thank you for your support.

1 Corinthians 10:33

“even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Walk-A-Thon 2015     Mission Community Church  West American Presbyterian Church

“Praise the Risen Lord!!”

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!

I hope and pray all is well with you.

All of the new shoots and blooming flowers of springtime are reminding us of all creation and its celebration of the resurrection of Christ with us.

We had our annual Walk-A-Thon last month. Volunteers from Living Stone Community Group, as well as their parents and friends, and our Rainbow Family walked fifty blocks (5 miles) around the city of Buena Park. Amazingly, everyone finished the course- including our youngest child Evan, even without his stroller. Afterwards, we had a beautiful lunch and had fellowship for the rest of the day. I thank the Lord for His grace, and I want to especially thank our supporters who gave donations for every mile that we walked. I thank God for our joyful hearts, the unity we achieved, and the strength to be able to complete the Walk-A-Thon. I want to thank everyone who supported our annual event from the bottom of my heart.

The funds we raised for the Walk-A-Thon will be utilized for the residents of the Rainbow Family Home and the children of the After School Program..

Brother Park and I were invited to Evergreen Community Mission Church to speak about our ministry; by the grace of God, the small group “Agapete Aleloos” committed to supporting us with funds and prayers and joined us in our mission. We thank the Lord for their compassion and commitment.

An old friend of ours, West American Presbyterian Church, invited us for a women’s ministry service. Pastor Sun-Ik Kim and the congregation encouraged us in joyful fellowship that night; they also increased their supporting funds for our ministry. I thank the church deeply for their love and support.

I pray daily that we might be able to raise enough funds for the renovation of our building, so that we might expand our ministry and accommodate more single mothers, their family, as well as children in our After-School Program. I firmly believe in my heart that education is the key to overcoming poverty, but there is no true victory in life without Christ. We want to give this message to our community so that His kingdom might grow larger through the Rainbow Family Ministry.

I cannot do this without your help. Please, come forward with me in fulfilling this beautiful mission.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” 1 Peter 1:3

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!
