Dear friends, Hallelujah!!

I hope all is well with you during this summer month. Rainbow family and I greet you in the name of our Lord.

I’d like to introduce Monique, who came to stay with us last month, and her adorable 3weeks old son Benson.

Monique was raised fatherless as the youngest in her family with her mom, who suffered drug addiction all her life.

When she was living with her legal siblings she had to move her home many times that she did not have a permanent home address and thus she could not attend the school regularly.

Many days she woke up in a house unfamiliar only to find her mom fell on the floor heavily intoxicated by drugs and alcohol, and had to call 911 for help.

But when she thought of her homeless life as normal, she dreamed of a day she would have her own bed.

When she was thirteen, she was already addicted to drugs and alcohol, but worked hard and at her workplace met Benson’s father.

And they were able to rent a small apartment; she was very happy just for having a place to live.

However, drug and alcohol addiction was still a problem in her home and they often had arguments and fights.

Her boy friend physically abused her while she was pregnant and threw her out on a street when she was close to giving birth.

Monique and her son Benson now have found a new home here at Rainbow Family home and she’s teaming for rehabilitation.

I earnestly ask for your prayer that she would receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior and restore in Christ’s love and be a living testimony of Christ work and victory.

Our summer school program that started last June 17 children who looked only frail and cheerless when they first came are now filled with smiles and their voice and laughter get louder each day as they try to memorize Scripture verses.

When I watch these precious children as they begin each morning with gladness and smile, I am reminded afresh that as Christian much work to be done here in USA .

As I finish the day, I realize that I made a good decision to live for Christ, who has called and redeemed and is helping me to do his will.

Hallelujah! All glory to the Lord, who is good and faithful!

RFM Chair Man of the Board Dr. Lee Dong Il and Lee Soo In came to visit us with good news that RFM board is planning to expand our facility.

Pastor Yana Ahn of young nak Celebration Church and Esther Koh, mission supervisor came to visit RFM and briefed about financial support for Las Vegas Jonathan Home Missions.

Because of your support and prayers we can take care the people in need and share the love of Christ. Thank you!

Matthew 6:33

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

I pray and ask for God’s blessings to all supporters in your church, family, business, and ministry and the power of Christ Jesus’ resurrection power to be with you always.

Dear friends;
Hallelujah!!
Greeting form the Rainbow family in the name of the Lord.
The Rainbow families are thankful to the love and grace of our Lord and are always growing in leaps and bounds.  We are all excited about the various programs offered at the RFM summer school this year and we expect great things to come each day.

The summer school program offered at our R.F.M. starting this summer is geared towards the young students who come from single parent homes and low income families including the students who received the recommendations from Centralia Elementary School.  This program thus will provide free breakfast and lunch including snacks, and various classes such as Arts, English, Math, Music and P.E.  Specially, Music classes will offer violin, cello and piano lessons taught by Ashley Kim and Rev. Sub Rhee Kim, who are recognized by many talented leading musicians.  And P.E class will offer variety of individual and team sports taught by Brother Yun seok Park.

We also take the students on field trips to museum and other sites for enriching their learning experiences.

We’ve been praying steadfastly for the program to reach all students enrolled, but after the summer school started I questioned myself how I could feed these twenty students and provide the best care possible daily for two and a half month.  But the Lord knew my heart and provided the uniforms for students and volunteers, food and snacks for the students through Thanksgiving Korean Church.

And God moved Mr. Sang Bok Ha and his wife serving New Hope church; he entered the marathon race at San Francisco last June 16th, ran 52 miles and gathered the donations for our summer program.
I appreciate and thankful for his fearless love and effort.
Kyung Mi Lee and Sylvia Kim, the board members of the Rainbow Family Inc, visited us and blessed our families with their love.
I thank God for friends like you, we couldn’t do this without you.

As God continues to pour out his blessings in many special ways and leads every step of our ways for the purpose of spreading the gospel and sharing His sacrificial love, we continue to be encouraged and to remain faithful to His calling and be thankful to God and give Him the glory. Hallelujah!!
Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

I pray that the power of the resurrection of the Lord to be with you, your church, business, and ministry always.  God bless you!

Dear friends;
Hallelujah!!

Greeting form the Rainbow family in the name of the Lord.
By God’s grace and your prayer and support we continue to transform into the wonderful image of the Lord Jesus as we plan for the days ahead with the joy of salvation.

On Mother’s Day, many friends came to visit our home and bless the single moms with warm loving comfort.  Thanks to Son In Hwan and Chung Yung Hwa and many more friends for the gifts and offerings for the mothers, who try to fulfill the roles of both Mom and Dad, and thanks to our dear friends at Torrance Good Shepherd church for their beauty supplies, kitchen wares and donations.  Thank you all for your generous support and kindness.

The Rainbow home is planning to provide the musical lessons for the low income family kids in our city this summer.
The director of the outreach program “Good Hands For One” Ashley Kim visited us.

For those economically disadvantaged children who seldom have a chance to play musical instruments, with the purpose of giving the children at our home and also other neighboring multi race children the opportunities to learn and play piano, violin, cello, and many other musical instruments, we are planning to have a kick off this month.

We are most certain that through providing the musical lessons for such children in our city, this multi cultural community in which we live can be united strongly, and the children can feel the sense of connection with other children, and regain self esteem and confidence to overcome difficult circumstances of life.  We believe that by giving them such hope the children will remember the unconditional love of Christ during this summer and overcome the world with his Love.

We still need many more musical instruments in order to provide them the lessons because the children who came from low income families cannot purchase the instruments they need.  If you have an old or used violin, cello, and etc. that you don’t use and would like to donate such items please call me @ 323-350-3046.  I hope and pray you be part of this summer school program with us and continue to serve this community by giving hope and opportunity for these children.
I need your help.

(Isa 61:1)
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;”

I pray that the power of the resurrection of the Lord to be with you, your church, business, and ministry always.
God bless you!

2013  Walk-A-Thon                       Sylvia and Mireya                           cooking class

Dear friends,

Hallelujah!!
I hope all is well with you.    Greetings from Rainbow Family!

I am pleased to introduce new family members—24  year old Sylvia and her 4 year old daughter Mireya.  Sylvia came to the United States as a young girl with her family from Mexico.  Even before she was born, Sylvia’s family had a long history of involvement in the drug trafficking trade.  Many of her family members have been killed or incarcerated.  She always thought that she had to live as her family members did, and knew no other options.  Now she has found a new way of life in Christ.  She thanks God for teaching her a new path, and for showing her His will in life.  She is even more grateful because she recently regained custody of her daughter, and attributes this blessing to His grace.  Would you pray with me so that she will feel the love of God and experience His goodness so she can make a new life for herself and her daughter, breaking a generational pattern, to live as a creation of His good purpose?

On April 6th, we held our annual Walk-A-Thon.  All of the Rainbow Family—mothers and children included—participated.   Hannah and her friends, a group of volunteers from Grace Korean Church Youth Group, joined us for a 50-block walk around the neighborhoods of Buena Park.  After the walk, we shared a great meal and fellowship.  I wish to thank all of the donors who sponsored walkers this year from the bottom of heart.

I also wish to thank our friends and donors for your love and prayers.
Your support enables me to lead these families to a new way of life.  I experience daily the miracle of His will on earth, as it is in heaven.  I cannot express my gratitude to you enough.

We have a cooking class we all enjoy and look forward to very much.  Mrs. Cho Kun Hee comes to us with all different types of healthy menus for us and our children.  Prior to these lessons, ladies in the home mostly used the microwave to prepare convenient meals for their children.  Thanks to Mrs. Cho, the ladies are learning the value of cooking from scratch, and are preparing healthier meals for themselves and their children.  The entire Rainbow Family is grateful to Mrs. Cho for her efforts.

We are preparing to operate a summer school this summer.  We have made arrangements with the Principal at Centralia Elementary School to provide summer school programming for a number of low-income children.  The purpose of this partnership is to provide safe and nurturing educational opportunities to children who are otherwise at risk during the summer months.  I need your help to make this program a success.  We need many volunteers, and even more prayers.  Won’t you support this new project?

Proverbs27:18
“He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who looks after his master will be honored.”
I pray May His resurrection power be with you and your church, family, ministry, and workplaces always.

picture_4Jonathan Home, Pastor and Mrs. Choi  YNCC Women’s Conference  Friends Visiting on Easter

Dear friends,

Hallelujah!! I hope all is well with you.
Greetings from Rainbow Family!

We have great news to share about the RFM Jonathan Home in Las Vegas. As you know, we have struggled in the past
few months with the Jonathan Home operation due to lack of funding and difficulties in finding proper management staff.
Through a mutual connection in St. Petersburg, Russia, we are blessed to have entered into a partnership with Pastor
Won Seok Choi and his wife. Pastor Choi’s focus in ministry is addiction recovery and inner healing. Through this
partnership, Jonathan Home will provide residential prevention services to Korean-speaking international students and
offer inner healing services to the larger Korean community in Las Vegas .
We praise the Lord for this collaboration with Pastor Choi and anticipate only good things to come.

Would you join me in prayer and support for the Jonathan home in Las Vegas? We cannot do this without your help.

Our long time friend Yong Nak Celebration Church (YNCC) held a women’s conference and invited all of the mothers
and children to attend. We had a blessed time of fellowship during the all-day event. There were many speakers touching
many issues of interest to women and our ladies came away with much learning and inspiration.
We thank YNCC for their continued support and love.

Sarang Community Church held their Easter celebration and we joyfully participated. We had a wonderful lunch, and the
children enjoyed face-painting, games, and bounce houses. Through fellowship and the church’s generosity, the children
and ladies experienced the love of God.

We had many friends visit us for Easter Dinner. They came bearing gifts and donations.
How beautiful it is to have friends and family in the Lord!

I am continually amazed at how He splits the Red Sea for me to this day. Sometimes it seems like there is nobody around,
but then I find that He has prepared His will for me, and has provided in ways that I could not have foreseen. I give Him
glory and honor and thanks.

1Corinthians 2:9
“However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those
who love him””

I pray May His resurrection power be with you and your church, family, ministry, and workplaces always.

      Nicole’s  Family                                                          Korean Culture Day

Dear Friends,
Hallelujah!!
I hope and pray all is well with you.

All of the new shoots and blooming flowers of springtime are reminding me of all creation and its celebration of the
resurrection of Christ with us.

Currently, we have a spectrum of recovery and rehabilitation going on among a full house of Rainbow Family Mothers
and children. Some Mothers at the home are going to school and working regularly. Other Mothers are doing their
rehabilitation curriculums. But we are all in His grace, trying to live by the word of God, and to learn through him a
healthier way of life.

Nicole has been with us on and off for the last six years. She calls me Mom, and she has returned to live with us again
with her children. Nicole has not seen her mother since she was 14 years old. The negative impact of this relationship has
affected her ability to lead a healthier life. Her children’s father was someone she met in high school. She refers to him
as having been her “partner in crime,” running a mock in their addictions. About four years ago, he was arrested, and is
still in prison. Nicole has struggled to survive on her own with her two small children, and has returned home to Rainbow
Family. She recently commented to me that if she had not accepted Jesus Christ as her savior in our home six years ago,
she would not have had the strength to overcome these difficult years. She thanks God for his mercy and grace.

On Lunar New Year, Rainbow Family was invited to Korean Culture Day, sponsored by The Global Children Foundation.
Each child received Korean hanbok (traditional Korean costumes), and we all feasted on traditional new year food.
I thank The Global Children Foundation and Pastor Mary Lee for their generosity and friendship.

I have obeyed my calling from the Lord for the last 10 years, and have cared for those whom He has sent to me with
my whole heart. I have led them to the Lord and have told them of the victory that He promises. I have witnessed the
transformation in their daily lives. I understand that His love is deeper and more potent than any sin that we know.
Only His love can overcome the world.
In order for me to share His perfect love and to help neighbors in need, I need your help!!

When you receive a sponsorship letter about Rainbow Family annual Walk-A-Thon being held on Saturday, April 6,
2013. Won’t you pray for and support our familys by sponsoring a walker in this event? Thank you.

John I, 4:18-19 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The
one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.”

I pray May His resurrection power be with you and your church, family, ministry, and workplaces always.

rfm_picture_2            Maria & Ethan                      Suzie & Dennae                            Our friends

Dear Friends,
Hallelujah !!

I hope all is well with you.
Greetings from Rainbow Family

I would like to introduce our new family members. Maria is a 24 year old who has a three year old son Ethan.
Maria’s father left the family when she was a little girl leaving her and her four siblings. In Junior High School she was
introduced to drugs She felt accepted by the wrong crowd, she has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, due to
her addiction she was unable to finish school or hold a job. She finally decided to make a change for a better life and self
admitted to a rehabilitation program in the city of Pasadena for treatment. Since then, she has gained custody of her
son and now residing with us at Rainbow Home “And we give Thanks to God for that”. She and her son are adjusting
well and she is very grateful to the Lord for all that he has done for her.

We have another new family member Suzie age 45, single mother and her daughter Dennae 17 years old. She has
been a single mother for 16 years, has been working in a nursing home. She has struggled with alcohol because of
loneliness and pain. Her daughter made her aware of her alcohol problem and now they are here to fellowship with
other Christians and find new way of life. Suzie feels she is falling in love with the Lord once again. Would you pray with
me for Suzie’s inner healing?

Our friends Mrs. Joe from River of Grace Church in Fullerton, and Mrs. Kim from Dream Church in Pasadena came to us
with a great recipe for Man-Du (wong ton). They thought the ladies how to prepare a delicious Korea dish. The ladies
were very excited have to have learned new skills and techniques to cook an Asian Dish. We had a pleasant lunch with
the delicious food that was prepared, and it was a wonderful time of fellowship.

As we sat and fellowshipped with different cultures and come together in unity to serve the Lord and one other, I felt
that this is how it will be when we are in heaven. We here at RFM appreciate the kindness and compassion that they
show us.

Psalms 8:4-5
“What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.”

Thank you so much for your help. All of us sending you our special love and thanks.

I pray for God’s rich blessings upon you and yours.

rfm_picture_1Happy New Year!

Dear Friends
Happy New Year to you from us at rainbow Family Ministry!

We experienced this past Christmas such tremendous support and love.
Our Mothers and children received funds and toys from the supporters like you,
neighborhood churches and even the police station.

Christmas Eve from afternoon on the graduates and their children from the Rainbow
Home came with healthy and victorious presence;
I can’t help but praise God for his good work in their lives.

After the Christmas service at the home we had wonderful feast together and shared
joy and gifts. Children made Christmas cookies and gave them to me as a gift.
We experienced the presence of the Lord that evening.
Seems like children have grown up so much over the years, Such a joy to see them
again this year.

We are so thankful that the members of the Global children foundation made a visit last
month as a previous years with the abundance of leaving supplies and with Christmas
gifts for Rainbow Family’s mothers and children.
We shared testimonies and great time of fellowship together, and it was such an
encouragement to all of us.

Hanna and her friends from Grace church have been faithfully coming to volunteer after
school for the Rainbow children.
Because of their dedication the children’s school grades have improved tremendously.
And the love they share makes a big difference in children’s behaviors.
We thank God for their service in love.

We had a special speaker, Chaplin Raquel from Orange county women’s jail.
Who shared a wonderful Christmas message, It was a time of sharing touching and
gracious testimonies, and we praised and glorified the Living Lord together.

Thanks to the Stamp foundation’s help our home has brand new pain and windows just
in time for the chilly winter.

I am so happy that we could share the gifts and living needs with the mothers and
children who came for Christmas at the Rainbow home.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and financial support.
I can’t do this without help from friends like you.

Psalms 81:10
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt.
Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.”

I pray big dreams that you have for “2013 will all come true because we serve a big
God.

Many Blessings to you and yours.

Dear Friends,

Looking back the year 2012, I give my thanks and glory to my faithful savior Emanuel for his endless love and grace.

I would like to introduce to you our new family member 50 years old Angela, and her daughter 13year old Serenity. They were staying at a domestic violence victim shelter due to Angela’s husbands’ dysfunctional lifestyle.
The Lord led them to us and they are adjusting very well, concentrating on their rehabilitation.
Would you pray with me for their complete healing from the past?

It was a great Thanksgiving day at the RFM because many family and friends came by, including the families who used to be with us. It was so good to see them and to share the meal together. We had many testimonies and laughter; it was a great time of Worship and rejoicing in the Lord.

This would not have been possible without prayer and support of friends like you.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We are so happy for Marissa’s 9 year old daughter Crystal getting elected to be a student council.
For the last whole year of staying at RFM, her grades were improved and She has opened up and she is much happier Thanks to the Lord.

I have great news!! 10 years of my daily journal of his miracle working power in our ladies and children’s lives and the powerful testimonies of the single moms are included in the book called” Love Came Down” “하늘에서 떨어졌어요” has been published. The purpose of publishing the book was to give hope to the hopeless and to glorify our living Lord.

Happy thanksgiving

Dear Friends,      Hallelujah!!
I hope all is well with you.
We’ve been continuously praying for the safety of our friends suffering from the recent storm in the East Coast.

As we look back the year of 2012, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for His gracious goodness.
We thank God for using Pastor yun Park and me in the ministry of taking care of the least and the lost who are with us and those who passed through RFM and settled down in the society as well.
I am so thankful for bringing the partners like you who support RFM with prayers, and finance.
Without your support, RFM couldn’t be where we are today. We thank God for Friends like you.
I must confess His grace and mercy is so abundant that it absolutely causes us to be able to overcome the world and to be more than a conqueror.
Joy He gives in our hearts strengthens us each day.
Today and tomorrow and until Jesus comes back, RFM will not stop sharing His love wherever we are.

I am thankful to Mr. & Mrs. Chu and the young adult members of “All Ministry” who made a long trip to visit Jonathan Home. It was such an encouragement as we prayed together in the hope to make a difference in the world in Christ’s name.
The founder of A’gaci Foundation, Meenah Won, who has been one of the strong supporters  for the last 10 years also came to visit Jonathan Home.  It was such a blessing as she comforted and encouraged the ladies at The Home with loving care. I am so thankful for her Godly character.

Please remember and help RFM’s single moms and children  at this Thanksgiving season.
There are some moms and children who once made their home at RFM and went on to be independent  and yet who are still in urgent daily needs occasionally for such as food, laundry detergent, baby’s diapers, money for gasoline and etc. I want to be their mom they can count on when they show up at my door for help.
I need your help
All your contributions are tax deductable.

Psalm100:4-5
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
