Walk-A-Thon 2015     Mission Community Church  West American Presbyterian Church

“Praise the Risen Lord!!”

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!

I hope and pray all is well with you.

All of the new shoots and blooming flowers of springtime are reminding us of all creation and its celebration of the resurrection of Christ with us.

We had our annual Walk-A-Thon last month. Volunteers from Living Stone Community Group, as well as their parents and friends, and our Rainbow Family walked fifty blocks (5 miles) around the city of Buena Park. Amazingly, everyone finished the course- including our youngest child Evan, even without his stroller. Afterwards, we had a beautiful lunch and had fellowship for the rest of the day. I thank the Lord for His grace, and I want to especially thank our supporters who gave donations for every mile that we walked. I thank God for our joyful hearts, the unity we achieved, and the strength to be able to complete the Walk-A-Thon. I want to thank everyone who supported our annual event from the bottom of my heart.

The funds we raised for the Walk-A-Thon will be utilized for the residents of the Rainbow Family Home and the children of the After School Program..

Brother Park and I were invited to Evergreen Community Mission Church to speak about our ministry; by the grace of God, the small group “Agapete Aleloos” committed to supporting us with funds and prayers and joined us in our mission. We thank the Lord for their compassion and commitment.

An old friend of ours, West American Presbyterian Church, invited us for a women’s ministry service. Pastor Sun-Ik Kim and the congregation encouraged us in joyful fellowship that night; they also increased their supporting funds for our ministry. I thank the church deeply for their love and support.

I pray daily that we might be able to raise enough funds for the renovation of our building, so that we might expand our ministry and accommodate more single mothers, their family, as well as children in our After-School Program. I firmly believe in my heart that education is the key to overcoming poverty, but there is no true victory in life without Christ. We want to give this message to our community so that His kingdom might grow larger through the Rainbow Family Ministry.

I cannot do this without your help. Please, come forward with me in fulfilling this beautiful mission.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” 1 Peter 1:3

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

Because He lives,
