Walkathon 2014                Marian and her children              K.A.R.T.

I want to introduce a new Rainbow family member 22 year old single mom Marian and, her 8 month old precious son Frank, and her 3 year old daughter Nelani. Marian’s father is still homeless and she doesn’t know where he is. Her mom is an alcoholic living in Corona area, she tried to make a contact with her but she is out of touch. When Marian was a young girl she was adopted by her grandparents by the court decision and she grew up with her uncles and aunts believing they were her own brothers and sisters. When she became older she was in and out of juvenile detention facility with her wound and pain, she spent many years of young adults life prostituting. Her babys father spent more time in the prison than with her so she live in a motel rooms with her children, and she realized how cold and terrifying this world can be. At R.F.M she felt genuine love and care for the first time in her life and began to know and experience the love of our heavenly Father.

I’d like to ask for your prayer and support for Marian and her children that her deep scars would be healed by the true love of Jesus and live the life of victory in him.

Walkathon fundraiser is one of R.F.M annual events. On May 10th we were able to launch this event with many R.F.M volunteers, Hana and Ryan, and Sunnyhill Recycling club members.

All participants walked with joy and we shared a wonderful meal and great fellowship afterward.

Thank you all participants and supporters in this Walkathon event for your prayer and support.

K.A.R.T raised funds through “Love Run” event and donated to R.F.M. The fund will be used for R.F.M free summer school programs. I give thanks to K.A.R.T president and all members, and I will never forget your love and encouragement and I will continue to reach out to our community in the name of our Lord.

I also humbly thank you for those who gave for R.F.M building fund, encouragement letters and phone calls. I’m certain that God will remember your love for neighbors in need and richly bless you.
