Stephanie’s Family                      Easter                    Deacon Sung Won Yoon

Dear Friends

Hallelujah!!

I pray with all my heart that you may have health and peace in the grace of the Lord who transcends all circumstances. Healing in the Lord’s grace and enjoying the freedom in the Word,

Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings with overflowing gratitude.

I would like to introduce 18 year old Stephanie and her daughter who recently turned 2. Stephanie was born in New York and moved with her mom to California when she was 6. There she met the baby’s father who was a drug addict and a violent person. The baby’s father ended up in prison and her daughter was taken away from her by Child Protection Services. She was living alone until she heard of our Rainbow Family Ministry and became part of our family. Although she is young, she has a strong determination to live with her daughter again. She is able to see her daughter once a week and when we see them together, we see how joyful they are. Seeing their happiness when they are together pushes our Rainbow Family to pray earnestly for them. We ask our supporters to join us in prayer. Thank you!!

We have met up with a long supporter of our ministry, Deacon Sung Won Yoon, from Torrance Good Shepherd Church and discussed ministry. I am so grateful to see her practice her neighborly love in her life.

For Easter, the mothers hid eggs and gifts inside and outside the house, saying that the person who finds it can claim it as his or hers. Likewise, they taught the children that those who call upon Jesus and seek his kingdom can possess heaven.  I am thankful that the Lord became hope for those who do not have hope and confidence in this world. But above all, I praise the Lord for providing eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Although there are many churches that go on missions with large expenses and travel vast distances, Rainbow Family focuses on making the United States a crime free society for our communities. When I think about our supporters who donate and pray for us, I am so thankful. I believe that the great blessings of the Lord will always be with you as well.

On Saturday, May 27th at 10am, our annual Walk-A-Thon will be hosted. We will depart from our Ministry at Buena Park and walk 50 blocks around the area. We are planning on using the money to help the costs of sustaining Rainbow Family. If you could write a donation form and send it. we will gratefully use it for the ministry.

We sincerely thank the Lord and our supporters that we are able to make our ministry centered on the Word of God without receiving government subsidies. Praise the Lord11

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, the Lord’s resurrection power that makes all things good and an army of angels will always be by your side.

Because He lives,

Marissa’s Family                 Won Foundation                  Sarah’s Family

“Praise the Risen Lord!!”

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours. The abundantly sprouting buds and the blooming flowers seem to be joining us in the praise of our Lord’s resurrection.

About a year ago, Marissa joined our family with her daughter and gave birth to her son while she was with us. She then moved to San Diego to live with her children’s father. However as he was using drugs, complications occurred and we have received her as she decided to join our ministry again. We ask for prayers and donations for her new journey. Thank you.!!

I had lunch with Mina Won who has been a director of Won Foundation for 20 years and an avid supporter of our ministry. She is always extending her hand and supporting us with her monthly donations to our ministry. I pray and bless her as she continues to be a blessing to us.

I would like to introduce a new family 21 year old single mother Sarah, 2 year old daughter Ally, and 4 month old Lavender. Sarah shared that she wasn’t able to experience a normal childhood due to her parents’ drug addictions. The father of her children was also a drug addict and left their family due to his addiction problems. Sarah moved around from shelter to shelter until she was introduced to Rainbow Family and became a part of our family. We ask for many prayers and donations for Sarah as she is putting aside her life of pain and looking forward to a new life in the Lord’s love. Thank you.!!

At this complicated and heartbreaking time, the Lord is protecting us as we set ourselves apart from the world through prayer and faith. Even during these times, I realize the Lord’s providence as he allows his people to keep their faith and serve their neighbors. I give thanks as I hope for a victorious life in Him.

1Peter1:3

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, the Lord’s resurrection power that makes all things good and an army of angels will always be by your side.

         Nicole’s Family                    Soo-il Hyun                   Ashley’s Family

Dear, Friends.

Hallelujah!!

How are you during this season of harsh weather changes?

Seeking a new life in the Lord’s love and grace, Rainbow Family is offering our Lunar new year greetings.

Last month 32 year old single mother Nicole and her daughter Journey, who is barely 2 years old, joined our Rainbow Family. Nicole was born in Harbin, China and grew up very lonely as the only child of a single mother. She studied hard and was able to attend a university in the United States for computer design. While studying in the States, she met her baby’s father and got pregnant. He recommended that she abort the baby, but she rejected him and decided to give birth to her daughter. During this period, the baby’s father disappeared. She also shared that her mother passed away 2 years ago due to Covid, while Nicole was still in the States. She moved from shelter to shelter with her daughter and at one point lived in her car. That is when she was introduced to Rainbow Family and joined us. While living in our rainbow home, she encountered the bible for the first time. The Lord touched her soul and her thoughts and led her to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We thank the Lord for his amazing providence and love, and we ask for your prayers and support.

Pastor Soo-il Hyun, who is a representative of the Christian Missionary Ethics Movement, visited our home and discussed various topics regarding missionary ethics. We sincerely bow our heads in thanksgiving for Pastor Hyun’s interest in the application of mission work.

I would like to introduce 34 years old Ashley and her two sons, 4 year old Noah and 2 year old Gage, who joined our family. Ashley suffered from drug addiction for a long time. She lost Noah’s father due to drug overdose and spent years wandering around in hopelessness. She then gave her two sons over to Foster Care and was in so much guilt and pain that she even considered death. She shared that she was introduced to Rainbow Family through an acquaintance and grew fond of the ministry. She especially was moved after seeing John 3:16 hanging in the front of the mission center. She came to our home with red eyes crying, and now she has accepted Christ and has become a citizen of heaven. I give praise and glory to God who is able to transcend our thoughts and Heart. We ask for prayers and support.

Rainbow Family missionary, which was built miraculously with the grace of the Lord and the prayers and financial resources of our supporters, has become a true city of refuge for many people who have suffered greatly. Please consider becoming a partner through prayer and financial support so that Rainbow Family can become a place where marginalized souls are healed by the Lord’s beautiful love. Thank you.!!

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

To the supporters who thank the Lord’s grace and serve your neighbors, I pray and bless that above your family, church, business, and ministry, I pray in Love the Lord’s grace and peace will always be with you.

Because he lives.

2022 Christmas        Mission Community Church    Young Leaders of USA

Happy New Year!!

Dear friends

Hallelujah!!

Thankful for the Lord’s infinite love and grace, Rainbow Family offers greetings for the New Year.

With the help of our donors, churches, organizations, and many other supporters, we were able to experience the love and blessings of Christ. We are very thankful for his river like love and look forward with excitement for what the Lord has in store for us in 2023.

The 2022 Christmas event was blessed with Il shin Presbyterian church Pastor Hyo Sung Ahn’s sermon and worship, followed by an abundant meal that was prepared by Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and West presbyterian church youth group.

We experienced a bountiful celebration for the Lord’s birthday and ate and drank to our heart’s content.

Like the past 20 years, victorious graduates of Rainbow Family and their family members along with 60 neighbors in need visited us to receive gifts for this Christmas season. Despite the large number of families who visited us, we received enough support from churches and supporters that no one returned home empty handed. Praise the Lord of love and ability that always provides with the miracle of five loaves and two fish. Hallelujah!!

Young Leaders of America volunteers and parents visited our missionary and graced us with gifts of love to our families. They even delivered varieties of foods and monetary donations. I am thankful for the dozens of blankets that they provided for us to share with our neighbors in need. We sincerely bow our heads in thanksgiving for our supporters who are able to go beyond their difficult circumstances for the neighbors as well.

Elder David Oh and his wife from Mission Community Church, who are longtime supporters of our ministry, gifted us with daily necessities that we can use for a long time. What a great joy it is for those who do not have much. Thank you.

We also give thanks to Il shin Presbyterian church Deacon Dong Gil Kim who has consistently donated plenty of school supplies and backpacks to our children in need each year.

I shed tears of gratitude for the miraculous power of heaven that I am able to experience every Christmas.

Isaiah 61:3

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

We pray that the protection, hope, and peace of the Lord will always be with you who constantly provide to neighbors in need with outstretched arms. We bless that you will be filled with spiritual things of heaven and the fertile things of the earth.

           Thanksgiving                  Leanne’s Birthday                 Jayme Family

Merry Christmas!!

Dear Friends   Hallelujah!!

I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.

Seeking for new life under the Lord’s grace and love, Christmas greetings to you from Rainbow Family in the name of our Lord. we are genuinely thankful for the love that was poured out by the living Lord and our friends prayers and support.

I would like to introduce a family that was sent to us last month: 41-year old single mother Jayme and her 15 year old son Jordan. It has only been a couple of months since Jayme and Jordan moved from Baltimore to California. Since moving to California, it has not been easy for them to find a place to live and work. The only job Jayme was able to find required her to work only two days of the work making it financially difficult for Jayme and her son. However, through the church she attended, she was introduced to Rainbow Family. She is very grateful that she is able to be a member of Rainbow family. We ask for prayers and monetary support for their family. Thank you!!

We had a celebration for Marissa’s daughter Leanne who turned 2 years old. Leanne, who recently had a younger brother, is a very cute and pretty child. We had a wonderful time and prayed that she may grow to be healthy and cheerful.

The Lord sent precious people to help us continue the tradition that the previous R.F.I director, Deacon Soo Lee, started to help our neighbors in need during the Thanksgiving season. This year, Pastor Suil Hyun and his wife, Elder Tae Gyun Oh, Deacon Gyung Sook Yoo donated several turkeys and ingredients. Made it possible for the families to experience a Thanksgiving full of love and warmth. We delivered the turkeys and food to families who didn’t have cars and couldn’t come to us.

On Saturday, December 17th at 11:30 a.m., an annual event will be hosted where gifts and meals are distributed at the Rainbow Home. We would like to invite our friends who work with us to celebrate the birth of Jesus and his great mercy and grace.  I sincerely thank you for your beautiful love and support as I experienced the miracle of heaven coming to earth.

The Rainbow Family children are writing letters to the Lord exchanging gifts, I definitely do not want to disappoint them. Please help me so that I will be able to provide gifts for our RFI families and the families who have graduated our program in previous years. Thank you!!

Let your light shine before men, and let them see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Just as this verse states, let others see the father’s faithfulness and love through your works as you help us during this Christmas event.

Luke 2:14

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

We pray and bless that the infinite joy of Christmas and the blessing of living hope will be abundant in our supporters’ families, businesses, and Ministries.

Beatrice Family      Torrance Good Shepherd Church          Walk-A-Thon

Dear Friends

Hallelujah!!

How are you doing during this sudden change of weather?

Seeking a new life in the grace of the Lord and being healed by his love, Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings. We are grateful for the love poured by our living God and our friends who have provided us with donations and prayers.

I would like to introduce a new family that joined us 37 years old single mother Beatrice and her three daughters. She shared that her Parents immigrated to Santa Ana from Mexico. However, there were issues in her household which led her to run with the wrong crowd. She met a man who she had two kids with. Unfortunately, because of her drug addictions father of the kids remarried and started another family with the children. In her loneliness, she met another man who is the father of her three daughters. Due to her drug addictions, her kids were taken away from her by the government where she was introduced to Rainbow Family and started a rehabilitation process with the Word of God for 3 months before her kids joined her. I give thanks to the Lord who is lighting her future. She is committing herself to the Word and we ask for prayers and monetary support for their family. Thank you so much.

A long-time supporter of our Rainbow Family, Deacon Seong-Won Yoon of Torrance Good Shepherd Church, along with the newly appointed Pastor Seung-Hyeok Lee and the elders brought a lot of delicious food for us. I trust and pray that the Lord will continue to provide endless support and prayers. We are truly grateful for their love.

On October 29th, 2022 we had our Walk-A-Thon event.

This year we walked 50 blocks around the neighborhood, ate a delicious meal afterwards and had a good time together. We would like to especially thank all our sponsors who participated in our event.

On Saturday November 19th, we plan to distribute Turkeys and other necessary ingredients for Thanksgiving to who are in need. Please help me to bring a warm and happy Thanksgiving to the families in our neighborhood.

I believe that the Lord will grant the best conditions for success and the start of a new life for those who are marginalized in society. All thanks and glory to the loving Lord. Through your hard work, we are able to open heaven’s doors and fulfill the Lord’s will on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you.

Philippians4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with

thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

I pray that the power of resurrection of our Lord Jesus will be with you, your family, and your church always and God bless you!

How are you during these difficult times?

I pray with all my heart that the Lord’s encouragement and peace is always with you.

Thankful for God’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our greetings to you and yours.

I would like to introduce a new family that joined us last month : 24 year old single mother Dalvi and her cute 2 year old son, Renzo. Dalvi shared that she was born to a mother with alcohol addiction and a father who she never met. She has a younger brother who passed away long ago. She also lost her mother in the year she turned 16 as her mother was driving the car in an intoxicated state. Unable to hold back her tears, Dalvi shares she was the only one who survived the accident. All alone in the world, Dalvi found comfort in drugs and working for Dating Services. She met her baby’s father, who is Japanese, was also a drug addict. She was drawn to church as she started to believe in Jesus Christ and how he died on the cross for her sins. It was there that she met a good church friend who introduced her to Rainbow Family. We ask for prayers and support for Dalvi and Renzo.

Malisa, who has been with us for 7 months now, gave birth to a 7.5ound baby boy, Asher. Pastor Soo il Hyun and Elder Oh stopped by and provided warm words of encouragement and a gift card to purchase baby products. I genuinely thank the both Men for their love and care.

Veronica, who helps manage Rainbow Family with us, joined us when her daughter Genevi was 11 years old. When she came to Rainbow whit her mother and two younger siblings turned 17 this year. As she prepares to enter art college next year, we ask for your prayers and support as she pursues her aspirations.

We praise the Lord with tears who makes miracles happen and who allows our supporters to show the world the abundance and blessings in the kingdom of God.

A longtime supporter of Rainbow Family, Pastor San ho Lee, his wife, and the youth group of Happiness Church in Las Vegas visited us and offered encouragement to our families in our home and our students. We sincerely thank them for their constant support.

We had our RFI Summer School graduation ceremony. Pastor Edward Lim delivered the sermon and with the visitation of Pastor Jung Gook Lim and his wife, we enjoyed food that was prepared by members of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. 12 of our students graduated with the gospel fastened to their hearts. Our students were able to attend school with new backpacks and school supplies that were provided by Deacon Dong Gil Kim of Il shin Presbyterian Church. I pray in thanksgiving that the Lord may remember the goodness of those who provide to those who have nothing and no hope. Director Jung Hwa Lim and volunteers from the Orange County School of Arts taught the students theater and acting. We shed tears of joy as we watched their performance. With the zeal and support of the Volunteer parents and donations and prayers from members of Happiness Church, the students were able to thought math, English, art therapy, cooking classes, etc.

Field Trip to Zoo                Quantavia Family             Trip to Science Center

Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!!

How are you during the hot weather?

Living with a grateful heart within the Lord’s grace, Rainbow Family offers our monthly greetings.

I would like to introduce a new family that joined us last month: 34 year-old single mother Quantavia and her cute seven month old son, Kevin. She shared that she was constantly nervous growing up because her father committed domestic violence to her family, making her determined to protect her mother and her younger siblings from her father. Then, one day, she saw her younger sister being beaten by her husband, and without her knowing it, she immediately went to protect her sister. Because of her assault toward her sister’s husband, she ended up spending 5 years in prison. While she was in prison, she heard about Jesus, but she couldn’t open her heart because the wound of the past was so painful. She didn’t quite fully understand why Rainbow Family Home accepted her and her son with great love, but she knew that it was because of Jesus. Weeping, Quantavia accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and is determined to live according to the Word. We ask for your prayers and support that Quantavia and her son may find healing and victory in the Lord. Thank you.

Our Orange County’s Summer School for low-income, single-parent children has 12 students attending this year as well. The summer school program, which has been going on for 11 years, was planned to be held for 6 weeks, but at the request of the mothers, it was extended to the end of July.

Director Lim Jung Hwa and her volunteers are a great help to our Summer School. In addition to volunteering, she takes our students on field trips to the Science Center and Irvine Park and prepares lunch for the kids. She has provided our Mission with so much love that it is hard to express the total extent of my gratitude. I pray and bless that the grace of the Lord is always with Director Lim Jung Hwa and her volunteers. Thank you.

After reviewing the Covid-19 situation, our After School Program, which will resume after summer vacation, will be decided. The Summer School will continue during the vacation as our Missionary leads with the light of the gospel to improve the local community.

We sincerely thank everyone for participating in the ministry and providing support and love.

1 Timothy 1:16

But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

I pray and bless that the grace and the blessing of peace will always be present in your families, churches, businesses, and ministries.
